El Pescadero Area

Area

El Pescadero is a traditional farming community located on the Pacific ocean, roughly 85 KM’s (52 Miles) up the west coast from Cabo San Lucas, and a 10 minute drive to Todos Santos. Casa Agua Luna is roughly one hour drive from either San Jose (SJD) or La Paz (LAP) airports.

Due to the abundance of water from the nearby mountains, the area is a virtual oasis in the middle of the surrounding desert landscape. As a result, the area is now home to a host of “farm to table” restaurants offering the best of fresh gourmet food, almost always in outdoor palapa style dining.  Fresh local produce is always available from roadside vendors or organic stores.

San Pedrito Beach is right in front of the Casa, just a short stroll away. Although not safe for swimming, it is perfect for a morning or sunset stroll. You may see a handful of locals walking their dogs in the morning with a friendly wave and “Hola” extended, but you’re more likely to see breaching whales than people! Whale season runs from late October through late March when humpbacks and grey whales migrate south to the Sea of Cortez.

At the extreme north end of this beach is world famous San Pedrito point and surf break. When conditions are right, this place rocks with a right hand point break that brings all the top surfers to play! The best part though is the new beach bar situated right on the point. Even if you don’t surf, you can live the dream and watch these athletes while sipping one of the best margaritas in the area!

Todos Santos is a 10 minute drive from Casa Agua Luna and is a must visit town that is the home of the famous “Hotel California”. The town was recently granted the “Pueblo Magico” (Magic Town) status by the Federal Government due to its authentic Mexican vibe and incredible art and live music scene, not to mention the host of incredible restaurants. For more information on Todos Santos click here.
